Installment 8

The 2010 season at home is almost finished and the time for me to go back to South Africa is getting closer! I can’t wait! My season has been up and down, mostly up with good racing even though I don’t feel that I have gotten the results that I wanted. I feel stronger then what the numbers have shown. "Read more"

Installment 7

The first part of the 2010 season has now passed and I have done 22 races since I came back to Europe. I am happy with my season so far, I have been on the podium in all the Swedish national races, won a 3-day stage race in Denmark where I won 2 of the stages, and had two 6th places in UCI races. I can feel that I have lifted my cycling a bit this season, I can specifically see it on my time trailing where the average speed is much higher then last year.  "Read more"

So the Argus is over, and it is with mixed feelings. It is always nice to have that excitement of a big race coming up and in South Africa the Argus is such a big thing. At the same time it is nice when the pressure is over. Unfortunately I am a little disappointed with my result since I always want to perform, at the same time as I know that I can still do it again and one can not be on top in every race! "Read more"

Installment 5

This weekend I stayed at home and did the last League races to get some good training in before the Argus without needing to travel. Since I had missed two previous races in the League I was not in the lead any more and was out of the overall competition. I was still very much in competition for the queen of the mountain title though.  "Read more"

Installment 4

This weekend I have been in Gauteng for two races and it has been a successful few days. On Friday I took part in the open South African championship in Klerksdorp. It was an international race that saw riders from 7 different nations including South Africa. And for the first time in a race in SA I was not the only Swede.   "Read more"

Installment 3

This weekend I did not need to travel far for racing. I have done this race in Durbanville every year when I have been here in South Africa and I enjoy the race. The route was changed this year to a more hilly and challenging finish. The race was 108km and with only 6km to the finish we had 2 very steep hills to conquer.  "Read more"

Installment 2

Today I did the PE Herald in Port Elizabeth, the first national race for this year and I was going to get a good sign of how the training is going since all the teams were represented. Being a solo rider is always hard against the teams, I really have to be tactical and read the race well.  "Read more"

Installment 1

I have had a good start to 2010. After coming back from my holiday in Sweden training started in full swing. Including in my training I have done three races in the Western Cape and I have finished on top in all of them. All three races as been part of the “Virgin Active Pro Classic series” so I am in the pink leaders jersey at the moment.  "Read more"
